2022 Grants Awarded
The Coach Sauer Foundation is proud to announce that 17 youth hockey organizations from throughout Wisconsin have received grants for the 2022-23 season.
The Coach Sauer Foundation will also continue to be the primary sponsor of the Regional Disabled Hockey Festival for the third time. The event, which coincides with the training camp of the U.S. National team, the Paralympic gold medalists, will be held Oct. 15-16 at Madison Ice Arena and will feature sled hockey teams from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana and Iowa.

The purpose of the Coach Sauer Foundation Opportunity Grant program is to grow the game of hockey by providing financial help to players and organizations to expand accessibility and provide new experiences. Non-profit hockey associations, ice arenas, and other organizations are invited to apply for financial support to enable the execution of their plans to increase opportunities for youth participation and enjoyment of the game of hockey.

Eau Claire Memorial's Luke Lindsay Wins 2022 Jeff Sauer Award
Senior defenseman Luke Lindsay, the captain of the Eau Claire Memorial hockey team, has been named the recipient of the Jeff Sauer Humanitarian Award, the Coach Sauer Foundation announced.
The Jeff Sauer Award was presented Thursday at the Wisconsin High School Hockey Coaches Association dinner in Madison. The annual award has been presented for the last five years and aims to encourage community service among girls and boys high school hockey players in Wisconsin.

2022 Jeff Sauer Award Finalists
MADISON - Two students have been named as finalists for the fifth annual Jeff Sauer Humanitarian Award, which is presented annually to recognize good high school hockey players being great people.
The nominees are Andrew Budzinski, a senior defenseman from Madison Edgewood; and Luke Lindsay, a senior defenseman from Eau Claire Memorial.
The annual award hopes to encourage community service among girls and boys high school hockey players in the state of Wisconsin.

2021 22 Grants Awarded
The Coach Sauer Foundation is proud to announce that 14 youth hockey organizations have received grants for the 2021-22 season.
The Coach Sauer Foundation will also continue to be the primary sponsor of the Regional Disabled Hockey Festival for the third time. The event will be held Oct. 23-24 at Madison Ice Arena and will feature sled hockey teams from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana and Iowa. Last year’s event was canceled because of Covid concerns.

2020 Grants Awarded
The Coach Sauer Foundation is proud to announce that three hockey organizations have received grant distributions in the 2020-21 season.
Three youth hockey associations in Wisconsin will receive grants. They are the Somerset Youth Hockey Association to provide equipment to players in need; the Dodgeville/Mineral Point Ice Wolves Youth Hockey Association to help buy cleaning supplies to deal with COVID-19 health and safety issues regarding players and their families and to help purchase a new chiller; and the Spooner Ice Association to help expand an area youth tournament.
